Interestingly, my own character hasn't changed in appearance at all since 2004, and only minorly since 2002. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I haven't drawn my character (or anything else) very much for the longest time. That may change, though, as I'm doing more drawing than I used to.
But looking at these two side by side, I agree, your character looks much better now. More original and more physically mature.
